Step 3: Add or Modify Affixes
Once your item is upgraded to POE currency Magic or Rare, begin improving its modifiers:
✅ Augmentation Orb – Adds a missing Prefix or Suffix to a Magic item.
✅ Exalted Orb – Adds a random Affix to a Rare item (used for powerful upgrades).
✅ Chaos Orb – Rerolls all modifiers on a Rare item (great for resetting bad rolls).
✅ Divine Orb – Refines numerical values of existing modifiers.
✅ Orb of Annulment – Removes a random modifier (use carefully to eliminate unwanted stats).
Step 4: Lock or Protect Key Stats
For more control over your crafting results:
✅ Crafting Bench (when available) – Allows you to cheap POE 2 Currency add specific modifiers or lock existing ones.
✅ Essences – Guarantee a specific stat while rerolling other modifiers.
✅ Vaal Orb – Corrupts an item for unpredictable effects; use this only when aiming for risky power boosts.
